How much does Brandwatch cost?

Brandwatch sells three products, Consumer Intelligence, Social Media Management and Influencer Marketing, each from a standard to an enterprise plan. Its pricing page has no amounts. You fill in a three-step demo form and sales sends a quote, so every public number comes from buyers.

MeasureBrandwatch, per year
Median contract$50,000
Low end of reported deals$19,542
High end of reported deals$81,200
Purchases in the sample40
Average saving buyers negotiated15.29 percent

Figures from Vendr's Brandwatch page, checked October 2026. Vendr negotiates software purchases for its customers, which makes it the most reliable public source. Treat the numbers as market data rather than a price list: a single Social Media Management seat lands far below the median, a multi-product enterprise rollout can pass the top of the range.

How much is Brandwatch per month?

Monthly figures are estimates, because Brandwatch bills annual contracts. Pricing trackers such as CostBench and SocialRails group deals into three bands.

Scroll sideways to see the full table

Team sizeTypical scopeEstimated cost per month
Small teamOne product, a handful of users and listening queriesAbout $800 to $1,500
Mid-marketMore queries and seats, or two productsAbout $2,000 to $5,000
EnterpriseSeveral products, large data volume, services$5,000 to $15,000 or more

These bands come from third-party trackers, not from Brandwatch. CostBench reports a higher median, $80,000 a year, from only 5 buyer reports, so we give more weight to Vendr's 40 purchases. The two sources agree on one thing: a realistic Brandwatch budget starts in five figures per year.

Brandwatch pricing by product

Each product is priced on different units, which is why two companies of the same size can get very different quotes.

ProductWhat it doesWhat drives the price
Consumer IntelligenceSocial listening and consumer research across social, news, forums and reviews, with AI analysis and dashboardsNumber of queries, mention volume, historical data, seats, data sources
Social Media ManagementPublishing, content calendar, engagement inbox, social CRM and reportingNumber of social accounts, seats, modules
Influencer MarketingCreator discovery from a database of 30 million plus profiles, campaign management and measurementSeats, campaigns, database access

Brandwatch API pricing is not published either. API access and data export volume are negotiated inside the Consumer Intelligence quote, so ask for the call limits and historical data depth in writing before you sign.

The costs that are not on the quote

CostTypical sizeWhen it hits
SubscriptionMedian $50,000 a yearEvery year
Onboarding and implementationA few thousand dollars up to 10 to 15 percent of the annual contractYear one
Premium support10 to 20 percent on top of the subscriptionEvery year, if added
Overage feesCharged when mention or query limits are exceededWhenever a campaign or crisis spikes volume
Premium data sourcesExtra for some networks and historical dataWhen you add them
Analyst timeSeveral hours a week to build queries and read dashboardsEvery week

Hidden cost ranges from Vendr's Brandwatch buyer guide. Overages are the one to settle before signing: a product launch or a bad news cycle can push mention volume well past a plan's cap in a single week.

When Brandwatch is worth the money

Brandwatch earns a five-figure contract when your team really does social and consumer research at scale.

  • You track what millions of consumers say about your brand, category and campaigns, across social networks, news and forums.
  • An insights or social team builds custom queries and reports from that data every week.
  • You need years of historical mention data for research, not just this month's alerts.
  • Several departments, such as brand, PR, product and agencies, share the same listening setup.

If that describes you, get quotes from Brandwatch, Talkwalker and Meltwater and negotiate them against each other.

Cheaper Brandwatch alternatives, by what you actually need

Many teams that ask for a Brandwatch quote need one specific job done. Matching the tool to the job usually cuts the cost by 90 percent or more.

Competitive benchmarking is where many Brandwatch buyers overspend. Brandwatch can show share of voice against rivals on social, but if the question is "did a competitor raise prices, launch a plan, start a new ad campaign or pick up bad reviews this week", that is a monitoring job. Competitors checks 5 to 40 named rivals daily to hourly, reads prices as numbers, tracks Google and Meta ads and G2 and Capterra reviews, and sends a Monday digest grouped by rival. What it does not do is social listening across millions of posts. For that, keep Brandwatch or Brand24. How to negotiate a Brandwatch quote

If Brandwatch is the right tool, these steps usually lower the number.

Run a parallel evaluation. Talkwalker and Meltwater sell to the same buyers, and Vendr notes that Brandwatch prices more aggressively when it knows you are evaluating competitors.

Time the signature. Brandwatch's quarter ends fall in March, June, September and December, and those weeks are when discounts are easiest to get.

Commit for longer only if adoption is proven. Two and three year terms typically take 15 to 25 percent off the annual price, but a first-year contract keeps the exit open.

Cap overages and renewals. Put the mention limit, the overage rate and a maximum renewal increase into the order form, and start renewal talks 60 to 90 days before the deadline.

Bundle only what you will use. Adding a second product lowers the per-product price, which is only a saving if someone uses it.

Brandwatch pricing FAQ

How much does Brandwatch cost?

Brandwatch costs a median of $50,000 per year according to Vendr's data from 40 purchases, with reported contracts from $19,542 to $81,200. Brandwatch does not publish list prices, so your quote depends on the product, query and mention volume, social accounts, seats, data sources and contract length.

How much is Brandwatch per month?

Third-party trackers estimate about $800 to $1,500 per month for a small team, $2,000 to $5,000 for mid-market and $5,000 to $15,000 or more for enterprise. Brandwatch sells annual contracts, so the monthly number is the yearly price divided by twelve rather than a plan you can buy month to month.

Does Brandwatch have a free trial or free plan?

No. Brandwatch has no free plan or self-serve trial. You request a demo through a form and receive a custom quote. If you want to see competitor tracking working before you pay, the Competitors demo snapshots any competitor page and shows what gets extracted.

Is Brandwatch API pricing public?

No. Brandwatch does not publish API pricing. API access, call limits and historical data depth are negotiated as part of a Consumer Intelligence contract, so get them written into the order form.

What is a cheaper alternative to Brandwatch?

It depends on the job. For brand mentions and sentiment, Brand24 starts at $199 per month billed yearly. For tracking what competitors change, Competitors starts at $99 per month, or $594 per year billed yearly, and covers prices, website changes and alerts for five rivals, with ads, reviews and keyword rankings on Growth.
