1. Who we are

2. The service
Competitors monitors public information about the competitors you choose: public web pages, public ad libraries, public review profiles and public search results. It stores snapshots, detects changes, and sends digests and alerts. The features included in each plan are described on the pricing page.
3. Your account
You create an account with a work email address and confirm it with a code we send to that address. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for the activity of the users you invite. Each seat is for one named person.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in advance, at the price shown on the pricing page when you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers. Enterprise plans are governed by a separate order form, which takes precedence over these terms where they differ.
5. Plan changes
You can move to a higher or lower plan at any time. A higher plan applies straight away and the difference is charged for the rest of the current period. A lower plan applies straight away and the remaining value is credited against future invoices.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
7. Demo
The demo on the website lets anyone check a limited number of public pages without an account. It is provided as is, may be rate limited and is not part of any subscription.
8. Acceptable use
You agree to use Competitors only to monitor public information for lawful business purposes. You may not use the service to access pages behind a login or paywall, to overload or disrupt any website, to collect personal data about individuals, to infringe anyone's intellectual property, or to resell the service without our written consent.
9. Content you add
You keep all rights to the lists, notes, rules and other content you add to your account. You give us the permission needed to store and process it to provide the service. Snapshots of third-party pages remain the property of their owners and are kept only to show you changes.
10. Availability
We work to keep the service available at all times, but checks can be delayed by maintenance, by the websites being watched or by third-party sources. Service levels for Enterprise are set in the order form.
11. Liability
The service is provided to help you understand public changes made by other companies. You decide what to do with that information. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
12. Termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after notice where possible. You can close your account at any time by emailing [email protected].
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will notify account owners by email before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
