Competitor price monitoring for pricing pages, plans and product prices
When a competitor changes a price, the people who need to know are sales, pricing and whoever owns your own pricing page. Competitors checks competitor pricing pages and product pages on a schedule, reads the prices on them and alerts you the day a number moves.

What competitor price monitoring detects
Competitors reads prices as prices, not as text. It finds the amount, the currency and the billing period, links each price to the plan or product it belongs to, and classifies every change.
- Price increase or decrease, with the percentage
- New plan added or plan removed
- Changed limits: seats, projects, usage allowances
- Features added to or removed from a plan's list
- Annual discount changes, such as "2 months free" becoming "20 percent off"
- Promotions and sale prices on product pages
- Changes to the plan marked as most popular or recommended
Pages that load prices with scripts are rendered before the snapshot, so you capture the price the visitor sees.
SaaS pricing pages: plans, tiers and limits
SaaS pricing rarely changes by a single number. A competitor adds a tier, moves a feature up a plan and raises the entry price in the same release. Competitors records all of it as one grouped change, with each part classified.

| Competitor | Change | Before | After |
|---|---|---|---|
| formstack-lite.example | Basic plan price | $19 per month | $24 per month (+26.3%) |
| formstack-lite.example | New plan | 3 plans | 4 plans, "Business" at $79 per month |
| formstack-lite.example | Feature moved | Conditional logic in Basic | Conditional logic in Pro and above |
| surveynest.example | Annual discount | 2 months free | 15 percent off |
The competitor monitoring for SaaS use case covers how SaaS teams combine this with changelog and review tracking.
Ecommerce product prices and promotions
For stores and brands, the pricing page is the product page. Add competitor product pages for your key items and Competitors records the price on each, with sale prices and promotion banners.

| Store | Product page | Before | After |
|---|---|---|---|
| gearloft.example | 2-person trail tent | $249.00 | $199.00, "Autumn sale" banner |
| gearloft.example | Down sleeping bag | $329.00 | $329.00, free shipping added |
| peakpack.example | 45 L hiking backpack | $179.00 | $189.00 (+5.6%) |
Rotating banners and countdown timers are ignored as noise unless the price itself changes. Stores watching many products should read ecommerce competitor price monitoring.
Price alerts that fit how you work
Price changes are the one signal most teams want the same day. Every plan sends an email alert when a tracked price moves. On Growth and above you can add Slack alerts and custom alert rules.
- Alert on any price change, price changes only, or price changes over a threshold such as 5 percent.
- Route a competitor's price alerts to the sales channel and its ads to marketing.
- Everything else waits for the Monday digest, grouped by competitor.
Check frequency depends on plan: daily on Starter, every 6 hours on Growth and every hour on Scale. Enterprise sets a custom frequency per source.
Price history you can point to
Every price is kept with the date it was seen. When someone asks when a rival last raised prices, or whether a sale is permanent, the answer is in the history. Pricing teams who need price position and trends over many competitors should read competitive price intelligence.

Competitor price monitoring FAQ
Does it handle prices in different currencies?
Yes. Each price is stored with its currency and billing period as shown on the page. Changes are compared within the same currency.
What if a competitor hides prices behind "Contact us"?
Competitors records that the plan has no public price. If a price appears later, or a listed price is replaced by "Contact us", that is reported as a change.
Can it monitor marketplace listings?
Public product pages on a competitor's own store work on every plan. Marketplaces and app stores are available as custom sources on Enterprise.
How many products can I monitor?
Each tracked page counts toward your plan's limit per competitor: 10 on Starter, 25 on Growth, 60 on Scale. Enterprise sets custom limits.
Does Competitors change my prices automatically?
No. It tells you what competitors changed, with the history. Pricing decisions stay with your team.
