The short answer
Similarweb pricing starts at $199 per month, or $125 per month billed yearly ($1,500 a year), for the Web Intelligence Starter plan with one user. Mid and top self-serve tiers cost $399 and $649 per month, or $333 and $542 billed yearly. Team plans are reported at around $14,000 a year, and across 157 purchases tracked by Vendr the median Similarweb contract is $37,800 a year, ranging from $14,220 to $96,000.
Similarweb pricing by plan
Similarweb splits its products into modules: Web Intelligence for traffic and competitive research, Sales Intelligence for prospecting, plus App, Retail and Stock Intelligence, which are quote only. The Web Intelligence plan table loads in the browser and is not easy to capture, so the self-serve figures below were cross-checked against three independent pricing trackers in September 2026. The Sales Intelligence figures come straight from Similarweb's own Sales package page.

How much does Similarweb cost per year?
The self-serve plans cover one person. Once a second or third colleague needs access, or you need more than a few months of history, Similarweb moves you to a quote. That jump is the part most buyers are not ready for.

| Source | Figure | How reliable |
|---|---|---|
| Similarweb Sales package page | $99 per month yearly or $129 monthly for Sales Intelligence Individual | Official |
| Pricing trackers, September 2026 | Web Intelligence $1,500, about $4,000 and about $6,500 a year on the three self-serve tiers | Good, consistent across sources |
| Vendr, 157 purchases | Median $37,800 a year, range $14,220 to $96,000, average saving 12 percent | Strong, real contracts |
| Third-party reviews | Team about $14,000 a year, Business about $35,000 with API access | Medium, widely repeated but not official |
A fair reading: one analyst who wants traffic benchmarks can buy Similarweb for $1,500 to $6,500 a year. A team of five with longer history, several markets and an API should budget $14,000 at the low end and plan around the $37,800 median.
Similarweb API pricing
Similarweb does not sell API access on its self-serve plans. The API comes with quote-based packages: the Business tier of Web Intelligence, the Sales Intelligence Business and Enterprise plans (1,000 and 2,000 API enrichments per month), or a separate data-as-a-service contract for teams that load Similarweb data into their own warehouse. The price depends on the endpoints, the number of domains and the call volume. Vendr lists API overages among the costs to watch, so ask for the monthly call allowance and the overage rate in writing before you sign.
What drives a Similarweb quote
Seats are the first lever. The self-serve plans are single-user, so every extra person pushes you toward a Team quote.
History length comes next. Three months is fine for a quick benchmark. Seasonality and year-over-year comparisons need 25 or 37 months, which only the quoted plans include.
Countries and modules add up. Traffic data for more markets, plus App, Retail or Stock Intelligence, are each priced on top. Vendr puts added intelligence modules at $20,000 to $60,000 or more.
API volume and contract length finish the picture. Multi-year terms usually bring a 10 to 25 percent discount, and buyers who ask before the end of a quarter tend to get more room.
When Similarweb is worth the money
Similarweb earns its price when traffic estimates drive real decisions. It fits if most of these are true:
- You size markets, pick acquisition targets or plan entry into a new country from traffic share.
- You compare channel mix, referral sources and audience overlap across many sites every month.
- Investors or leadership ask for market share charts built on a consistent data source.
- Your sales team prospects by web traffic and technology signals.
Treat the numbers as estimates and read them as ranges. Our guide to how to analyze competitor website traffic explains where the figures come from and which questions they answer well.
What Similarweb does not tell you about competitors
Similarweb shows how much traffic a rival gets and where it comes from. It does not tell you that the rival raised its Pro plan by $10 on Tuesday, added a free tier, rewrote its homepage headline, launched three new Meta ads or picked up five one-star reviews on G2. Those moves change your win rate this quarter, and they are what product marketing and sales ask about first.
That is the job Competitors does. It watches each rival's pricing, product and landing pages, reads prices as numbers with the old and new amount, and adds ads, reviews and keyword positions in one Monday digest grouped by competitor. See competitor website analysis for what gets tracked on each page.
Cheaper Similarweb alternatives for competitor tracking
If the reason you priced Similarweb was to keep an eye on competitors, you can buy that job at a posted price.

| Option | What it covers | Annual cost |
|---|---|---|
| Similarweb Web Intelligence Starter | Traffic estimates and benchmarks for 1 user, 3 months of history | $1,500 billed yearly |
| Similarweb Team | More users and history, quote based | About $14,000, as reported |
| Competitors Starter | 5 competitors, price and website changes, email alerts, Monday digest, 12 months of history | $594 billed yearly |
| Competitors Growth | 15 competitors, 5 seats, adds ads, reviews, 50 tracked keywords, Slack alerts | $1,494 billed yearly |
| Competitors Scale | 40 competitors, hourly checks, 250 keywords, CSV export, API and webhooks | $3,594 billed yearly |
Competitors does not charge per seat: Growth includes 5 seats and shareable digest links and Scale 15 seats, so the whole team reads the same view without a Team quote. What it does not do: estimate traffic, map referral sources or size markets. Plenty of teams keep a single Similarweb Starter seat for traffic questions and use Competitors for everything a rival publishes. If Sales Intelligence caught your eye mainly for building prospect lists, a cold email outreach platform with lead scraping and personalization covers that job for far less than a Similarweb sales seat. Every limit on our side is on the pricing page.
How to get a better Similarweb quote
Start on Starter for a month. It tells you which reports you actually open before you sign a year of Team.
Count seats by who logs in. Export reports for the people who only read them, and keep paid seats for the analysts.
Ask for history and countries separately. You may need 25 months for one market and 3 months for the rest.
Get the API allowance in writing. Monthly calls, the overage rate and what happens at renewal should all be in the order form.
Time the signature. Vendr reports buyers saving 12 percent on average, and end-of-quarter deals and multi-year terms usually bring more.
Similarweb pricing FAQ
How much does Similarweb cost per month?
Similarweb Web Intelligence starts at $199 per month on monthly billing, or $125 per month billed yearly for one user. The next tiers cost $399 and $649 per month, or $333 and $542 billed yearly. Team, Business and Enterprise plans are quoted, and Vendr puts the median contract at $37,800 a year.
Is there a free version of Similarweb?
Similarweb offers limited free lookups of individual websites on similarweb.com and a short free trial of its self-serve plans. There is no free plan for ongoing work. The free view shows rough traffic for one site, without history, exports or competitor sets.
How much does the Similarweb API cost?
Similarweb API access is not part of the self-serve plans. It comes with quoted packages such as Web Intelligence Business, reported at about $35,000 a year, Sales Intelligence Business and Enterprise, or a separate data contract. The price depends on endpoints, domains and call volume.
Why is Similarweb so expensive?
Similarweb builds traffic estimates from a large panel, public data and partner data across millions of sites and many countries, and it sells that data by seat, history length, market and module. Single-user plans stay cheap, but multi-user plans with long history, several countries and API access land in the tens of thousands per year.
What is a cheaper alternative to Similarweb for tracking competitors?
If you need to know what competitors change rather than how much traffic they get, Competitors tracks rival prices, website changes, ads, reviews and keyword rankings from $99 per month or $594 per year for 5 competitors, with seats included rather than charged per user. It does not estimate traffic.
