Competitor website analysis tool for pages, messaging and change over time
A competitor's website is the most honest document it publishes: what it sells, to whom, at what price and with which promises. Competitors reads that document page by page, records every version and shows you how a rival's site, and its strategy, moves over time.

Map a competitor's website from its domain
Analysis starts with knowing which pages exist. Type a competitor's domain and Competitors discovers the pages that carry strategy: pricing page, product and feature pages, blog, changelog and careers page. You choose which to keep and add any others by URL, such as industry landing pages or comparison pages.
For every tracked page, the first snapshot records the elements that carry meaning:
- Page title and meta description
- Main headings (H1 and H2)
- Prices, plan names and billing periods where present
- Calls to action and where they point
- Counts of links and images, which reveal when a page is expanded or cut back
Pages that build their content in the browser are rendered first, so you analyse what a visitor sees, not an empty template.
Reading messaging, not just text
A single wording change can signal a new target customer. Competitors classifies headline and heading changes separately from body text edits, so the shifts in positioning stand out from routine copy fixes.

| Page | Competitor | Before | After | What it suggests |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Homepage H1 | parcelwise.example | "Shipping software for online stores" | "Shipping operations for high-volume brands" | Moving from small stores to larger merchants |
| Homepage CTA | parcelwise.example | "Start free trial" | "Book a demo" | Shift from self-serve to sales-led |
| Product page H2 | labelforge.example | "Print labels fast" | "Cut returns cost with smart labels" | Leading with cost savings, not speed |
| Pricing page title | labelforge.example | "Pricing" | "Pricing for teams and enterprises" | New enterprise motion |
Read in sequence, these rows describe a strategy. That is the difference between a competitor website analysis tool and a page screenshot.
New pages are the earliest signal
Before a competitor announces a new product, vertical or partnership, the page usually goes up first. Competitors reports new pages on tracked sections of the site, and changes in the link count of navigation-heavy pages hint at sections being added or removed.
- A new industry landing page means a vertical campaign is starting.
- A new integration page means a partnership your prospects will ask about.
- A new "vs" or migration page means they are targeting someone's customers, possibly yours.
- New roles on the careers page show where headcount is going: sales, a new region, a product line.
- A changelog entry tells you what shipped and when, in their own words.
Pricing pages get their own treatment with price extraction and percentage changes, covered on the competitor price monitoring page.
Website analysis across months, not one visit
Most website analysis is a single visit. Competitors keeps every version, so you can answer questions a single visit cannot: how many times did they rewrite the homepage this year, when did the enterprise plan first appear, which feature did they stop mentioning. History is kept for 12 months on Starter, 24 months on Growth and without limit on Scale.
The comparison itself, including how noise like dates, counters and rotating banners is filtered out, is explained on website change monitoring.
Beyond the website
A website shows intent. The other signals show execution. On Growth and above, Competitors adds the ads a competitor runs in public ad libraries, often pointing at the very landing pages you track, and the reviews customers leave. Tracked keywords show whether a rewritten page gained or lost search positions, which is covered by competitor rank tracking.

Competitor website analysis tool FAQ
Does it analyse the whole website or selected pages?
Selected pages. Discovery suggests the pages that carry strategy, and you add or remove pages within your plan's limit of 10, 25 or 60 pages per competitor.
Does it analyse traffic or technology stacks?
No. Competitors analyses what the website says and how that changes: pages, headings, messaging, prices and calls to action. It does not estimate traffic it cannot observe.
Can it track pages in other languages?
Yes. Any public page can be tracked, whatever the language. Enterprise adds custom sources such as regional sites across many countries.
How does it tell a messaging change from a typo fix?
Headlines, headings and calls to action are classified separately from body text, and noise such as dates and counters is ignored. A one-word typo fix in a paragraph is recorded in history but does not interrupt you.
Can I share an analysis with my team?
Every change has a before and after view you can share inside the account. Growth adds shareable digest links for people without a seat.
