Kompyte plans and what each includes

Kompyte's public plans page describes what you get in each tier but leaves the price field to a sales call. This is what each plan includes, as listed on kompyte.com/plans in September 2026:

How much does Kompyte cost per year?

There is no official number, so every figure in public comes from somewhere else. Here is what is on record and how much weight each source deserves.

SourceFigureHow reliable
Semrush acquisition announcement, 2022Average ARR per Kompyte customer of about $20,000Strong, but an average across all customers and four years old
Third-party vendor blogs, 2026Entry tier estimates from about $3,600 to $8,000 per yearWeak, unsourced estimates from competing vendors
Third-party vendor blogs, 2026Mid tier estimates from about $7,200 to $15,000 per yearWeak, same caveat
Kompyte's own plans pageNo price, annual plans onlyOfficial, but no number

A reasonable way to read this: a small team on Essentials should expect a quote in the low to mid thousands per year, and a sales org that needs 100 licenses on Professional should expect a number much closer to the $20,000 average. Ask for the quote in writing, per year and per seat, before you compare it with anything else.

What drives a Kompyte quote

Kompyte names the three factors itself: how many competitors you track, how many user licenses you need and whether you need single sign-on and advanced permission management. In practice, a few more things move the number.

Seat count matters most for sales teams. Kompyte is built to put battlecards in front of sellers, and 88 percent of its user base sat in sales organizations at the time of the acquisition. A 60-person sales team pushes you to Professional on licenses alone, even if you only track eight rivals.

Competitor count sets the tier floor. Essentials stops at 10 companies. The 11th competitor means a Professional quote.

Being a Semrush customer can help. Kompyte is sold as a separate Semrush product with its own contract, but an existing Semrush relationship gives you a second vendor conversation and more room to negotiate.

Term length works the same as with any annual SaaS contract. Longer terms lower the yearly rate and remove your option to leave if adoption is low.

Kompyte vs Klue vs Crayon pricing

Kompyte is usually shortlisted with Klue and Crayon. All three are quote-based. The difference is how much public data exists.

When Kompyte is worth the money

Kompyte makes sense when the buyer is a sales organization, not a marketing team of two. It earns its price if most of these are true:

  • You have 25 or more sellers who need battlecards during live deals.
  • Someone owns competitive enablement and will keep the cards current every week.
  • You already pay for Semrush and want competitive intelligence from the same vendor.
  • You track more than a handful of rivals and want website, keyword and listening alerts in one place.

If your team is a founder, a marketer and maybe a product marketer, most of those 25 licenses will sit unused, and you will be paying for a sales enablement layer nobody opens.

Cheaper Kompyte alternatives with published prices

The core job behind most Kompyte evaluations is simple: know when a competitor changes its price, its positioning or its campaigns, before a prospect tells you. That is a monitoring job, and you can buy it at a posted price.

OptionWhat it coversAnnual cost
Kompyte Essentials10 companies, 25 licenses, battlecards, website and keyword trackingQuote only
Competitors Starter5 competitors: prices and website changes, email alerts, Monday digest$594 billed yearly
Competitors Growth15 competitors: adds ads, reviews, 50 tracked keywords, Slack alerts$1,494 billed yearly
Competitors Scale40 competitors: adds self-updating competitor cards, CSV export, API, hourly checks$3,594 billed yearly

Competitors reads prices on rival pricing pages as numbers, with the plan and billing period, so the alert says "Team plan went from $29 to $35 per seat, up 20.7%" instead of flagging that some text moved. Page changes are filtered for dates, counters and cookie banners, and every snapshot is kept with its date. Growth adds new and stopped ads from public ad libraries; if your team wants to study rival creative in depth across every network, a dedicated ad spy tool for competitor ads goes further than change alerts. See every plan on the pricing page, or read how we handle competitor price monitoring.

What Competitors does not do: deliver battlecards to 100 sellers inside a CRM, or run a sales enablement program. If that is the job, Kompyte, Klue or Crayon is the honest recommendation.

How to get a better Kompyte quote

If Kompyte fits, a few steps usually improve the offer.

Count licenses by who opens battlecards, not by headcount. Twenty-five licenses on Essentials may be enough if only sellers in competitive segments get access.

Size the competitor list to the tier. If you track 11 rivals, ask whether the 11th really matters before you accept a Professional quote.

Get a Klue or Crayon quote in parallel. Kompyte is positioned as the more affordable option, and a written competing quote makes that concrete.

If you already buy Semrush, ask your Semrush account manager to join the conversation.

Keep the facts current, whatever you buy. Battlecards lose trust the first time a seller quotes an old price. The competitor battlecard guide shows which sections to keep fresh.

Kompyte pricing FAQ

How much does Kompyte cost?

Kompyte does not publish prices. Every plan is quoted by sales on an annual basis. At the time of Semrush's 2022 acquisition, Kompyte's average customer paid about $20,000 a year. Small teams on the Essentials plan typically report quotes well below that, and large sales teams well above.

Does Kompyte have a free trial or free plan?

Kompyte has no free plan and no self-serve checkout. Access starts with a demo and a quote from the sales team, and plans are annual. Shorter subscription periods may be available at a premium, according to Kompyte's plans page.

What is the difference between Kompyte Essentials and Professional?

Essentials covers 10 tracked companies, 25 user licenses, 50 URLs per company and 25 keywords. Professional doubles companies to 20, raises licenses to 100, URLs to 100 per company and keywords to 100, and adds an unlimited companies database. Unlimited removes the company and license caps and adds SSO.

Is Kompyte part of Semrush?

Yes. Semrush announced the acquisition of Kompyte on February 28, 2022. Kompyte is still sold as its own product with its own contract, so a Semrush subscription does not include it, but existing Semrush customers can buy it through the same vendor.

What is a cheaper alternative to Kompyte?

For teams that mainly need to track competitor prices, website changes, ads and reviews, Competitors is a cheaper alternative with published prices: $99 per month or $594 per year for 5 competitors, up to $3,594 per year for 40. It does not include CRM battlecard delivery.
