Extra users on a Business workspace cost $60 per year each. Visualping says Business features need a subscription of at least $140 per month or $1,200 per year, so you cannot get Slack alerts and team sharing on a Personal plan. Check the live page before you buy, since plans and limits change.
Checks, pages and frequency: how the limits interact
Visualping sells two limits at once, and the one that bites first depends on how often you check.
Pages is the number of URLs you can watch. Checks is how many times per month Visualping may look at them, across all pages. A page checked once a day uses about 30 checks a month. The same page checked every hour uses about 720.
That means the 40 pages on Personal 10K only all fit at daily checks: 40 pages times 30 checks is 1,200 a month, well inside 10,000. Check those 40 pages every hour and you need about 28,800 checks, which is Business 30K territory. For competitor pages, daily or twice-daily checks are usually enough, so pages tend to be the limit that matters.
What Visualping costs for competitor monitoring
Most teams that buy Visualping for competitor tracking watch 5 to 10 pages per rival: pricing, plan comparison, homepage, the main product pages, a changelog and any "vs" pages aimed at you. Here is the plan each setup lands on, at daily checks.

| Rivals tracked | Pages at about 8 per rival | Visualping plan | Visualping per year | Competitors plan | Competitors per year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | 40 | Personal 10K, one user | $600 | Starter, one seat | $594 |
| 15 | 120 | Business 20K, 5 users | $1,200 | Growth, 5 seats | $1,494 |
| 40 | 320 | Business 40K, 9 users | $2,400 | Scale, 15 seats | $3,594 |
For five rivals the two cost the same. Above that, Visualping is cheaper per page, and we would not claim otherwise. The difference is what you get for the money. Competitors includes ad tracking, review monitoring and keyword rank comparison on Growth and above, and it reads price changes as numbers, so the gap in price is partly a gap in scope. See the full plan list on our pricing page.
The cost that is not on the Visualping invoice
A page monitor tells you a page changed. Someone then has to open the alert, decide whether it matters, find the actual number and tell the right person. With 100 or more competitor pages that is a weekly job.
Three things drive that time up:
- Noise. Rotating customer logos, date stamps, cookie banners and A/B tests trigger alerts that mean nothing. Visualping's area selection and keyword triggers help, but they take setup per page.
- Price changes as images. A highlighted diff shows that a pricing card changed. It does not say that Pro moved from $49 to $59, up 20.4 percent, or that the seat limit dropped.
- No grouping by company. A new pricing tier, a new comparison page and a new search ad from the same rival arrive as separate events, or the ad does not arrive at all.
If one marketer spends two hours a week on this at $50 an hour, that is about $5,200 a year, more than any plan on either tool. A tool that cuts the triage in half pays for itself on time alone. That is the job competitor price monitoring and website change monitoring in Competitors are built to do.
When Visualping is the right buy
Visualping is a strong choice in several cases, and it is cheaper there:
- You watch fewer than 20 pages, for any reason, and one person reads the alerts.
- You need checks every 2 to 15 minutes, for stock, ticket or filing releases.
- Most of your pages are not competitor pages: regulations, supplier terms, job boards, government notices.
- You want to click any area of any page from a browser extension and track just that.
Some teams also point a page monitor at their own site to catch unexpected edits. If what you actually need is to know the moment your own site or API goes down, that is uptime monitoring with 30 second checks, a separate category built for that alarm.
When a competitor monitoring tool is the better buy
Choose a dedicated competitor tool when the question you answer every week is "what did each rival change, and should we respond?" rather than "did this page change?". Signs you are there:
- You track more than five rivals and more than one person needs the updates.
- Sales and pricing ask for exact figures: old price, new price, date.
- You want competitor ads, reviews and rankings next to page changes, without a second and third subscription.
- You want one Monday digest grouped by competitor instead of a stream of per-page alerts.
Our Visualping alternative page compares the two feature by feature and shows how to move your URL list across in an afternoon.
How to pay less for Visualping
If Visualping fits, these steps keep the bill down:
- Pay yearly. Every paid plan is about 30 percent cheaper billed yearly.
- Lower the frequency. Most competitor pages do not need checks faster than daily, and a lower frequency lets you stay on a smaller plan.
- Prune pages every quarter. Remove pages that have not changed in 90 days or that nobody acts on.
- Watch an area, not the whole page. A tight area on the pricing table cuts false alerts.
- Mix plans. Visualping allows several workspaces, so a Personal plan can cover one person's pages while a Business workspace covers the shared ones.
