Competitor monitoring for SaaS teams
SaaS competitors change more often than any other kind: a new tier this month, a seat limit moved the next, a feature shipped on Thursday and announced on Monday. Competitors follows each rival's pricing page, changelog and G2 profile so your team sees the change the week it happens.

What SaaS competitor tracking covers
A typical SaaS setup tracks around ten competitors, each with a handful of pages and two or three review profiles.
- Pricing pages: every price, billing period, plan name, seat limit and feature list, read as plans rather than as text
- Changelogs and release notes: each new entry, with its title and date
- Product and feature pages: new pages, rewritten headlines, new integrations listed
- G2 and Capterra: average rating, review count and new reviews, on Growth and above
- Careers pages: new roles, which often show where a rival is investing next
- Homepage messaging: headline and main call to action
Pricing pages are where SaaS competitor monitoring pays for itself. Competitors renders pages that load prices with JavaScript, detects monthly and yearly toggles and records both prices, so a change to the yearly discount is caught as clearly as a change to the list price.
A pricing page change, read as plans
Scroll sideways to see the full table
| Plan | Before | After | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter (rival-two.example) | $29 per month, 3 seats | $29 per month, 2 seats | Seat limit reduced |
| Pro (rival-two.example) | $79 per month, 10 seats | $89 per month, 10 seats | Price increased, +12.7% |
| Team (rival-two.example) | none | $149 per month, 25 seats | New plan added |
| Yearly discount (rival-two.example) | 20 percent | 15 percent | Discount reduced |
A text diff of the same page would report about forty changed words. Competitors reports four classified changes, each with its own alert rule.
Reading competitors' changelogs without reading them all
Changelogs are long, frequent and mostly small fixes. Competitors records each new entry and lists them per competitor in the digest, so you can scan titles instead of scrolling pages. Entries that match keywords you set (for example "SSO", "API", "integration" or the name of your product) can trigger an instant alert.
Put next to pricing changes, changelog entries tell a clearer story. A rival that ships SSO and moves it to a higher tier in the same month is making a packaging decision, not only a product one. That combination is exactly what competitor price monitoring and website change monitoring catch together.
G2 and Capterra, week by week
For SaaS buyers, review sites are part of the shortlist. Competitors records ratings and new reviews on G2, Capterra, Trustpilot and Google for each rival, and groups repeated themes in the digest: onboarding, support, pricing, missing features.
When a rival's rating drops after a price increase, you see both in one place. More detail is on the competitor review monitoring page.
Who reads it in a SaaS company
- Marketing, for messaging shifts, new campaigns and ads.
- Product, for shipped features and changelog patterns.
- Sales and customer success, for price changes they will hear about from prospects and customers.
- Founders and leadership, for the Monday overview.
Growth includes 5 seats, Slack alerts and shareable digest links, so the digest reaches all of these people without extra seats. Scale fits product marketing teams that maintain battlecards, see competitor battlecard software.

Competitor monitoring for SaaS questions
Does it handle pricing pages with monthly and yearly toggles?
Yes. Competitors records both the monthly and the yearly price for each plan and reports changes to either one, including changes to the yearly discount.
What about pricing that says "Contact us"?
It is recorded as a plan with no public price. If a rival later publishes a price for that plan, or removes the public price from another plan, that becomes a change.
Can I watch a changelog hosted on another domain?
Yes. Add the changelog URL to the competitor, even if it lives on a subdomain or a third-party changelog service. It still counts as one competitor.
Is G2 included on Starter?
No. Review monitoring, including G2, is on Growth and above. Starter covers prices and website changes.
Can I get alerts only for pricing changes?
Yes. Set alert rules per change type, for example price changes over 5 percent, and leave everything else for the Monday digest.
