Competitor tracker for founders and small teams
You know your five closest competitors by name. What you do not have is time to check them every week. Competitors is a competitor tracker that does the checking for you and sends one short email every Monday with what they changed.

The founder's competitor routine, replaced
Most small teams track competitors the same way: a bookmark folder, a spreadsheet started with good intentions and a vague feeling that a rival changed its pricing "at some point". The checking happens when there is time, which means before a fundraise, after a lost deal or never.
- Tabs you open on Monday and forget by Tuesday.
- A spreadsheet of prices that nobody has updated since it was made.
- Finding out about a competitor's new plan from a prospect on a sales call.
A competitor tracker should cost you less attention than the routine it replaces. Competitors checks every page daily, keeps each version and only writes to you when something real changed.

| Spreadsheet and bookmarks | Competitors | |
|---|---|---|
| Who checks | You, when you remember | Every tracked page, every day |
| What you see | Today's page, compared from memory | Before and after, side by side |
| Old versions | Gone unless you took a screenshot | Kept for 12 months on Starter |
| Noise | You read everything again | Dates, counters and banners ignored |
| Price changes | Noticed late, if at all | Classified with the percentage |
| Time per week | An hour or more | A few minutes reading one email |
What a small team should track first
With five competitors and ten pages each, focus on the pages where a change would alter what you do this month.
- Pricing page: the most important page on any competitor's site. See competitor price monitoring for what gets detected.
- Homepage: the headline tells you who they are selling to right now.
- Changelog or release notes: features you will hear about from prospects.
- Main product or feature pages: what they claim, and what they stopped claiming.
- Careers page: roles they hire for hint at where they are investing.
- One or two comparison pages, especially any that mention you.
You do not need to find these URLs yourself. Type the domain and Competitors discovers the pricing page, product pages, blog, changelog and careers page for you.
A Monday email a founder actually reads
The digest is grouped by competitor and written as short findings, not a log of diffs. A typical week for a small team looks like this:
Scroll sideways to see the full table
| Competitor | What changed | Before | After |
|---|---|---|---|
| shiftly.example | Pro plan price | $29 per month | $35 per month |
| shiftly.example | Pricing page | 3 plans | 3 plans, free trial shortened from 14 to 7 days |
| rosterbee.example | Homepage headline | "Scheduling for restaurants" | "Scheduling for every shift-based team" |
| clockpal.example | Careers page | 2 open roles | 6 open roles, 4 in sales |
If a competitor changes a price, you get an email alert that day as well, so the Monday email is never the first time you hear about it.
Starter: the competitor tracker plan for small teams
Starter is built for exactly this use: $99 per month, or $49.50 per month billed yearly ($594).
- 5 tracked competitors
- Up to 10 pages per competitor, checked daily
- Price and website change tracking
- Weekly digest and email alerts
- 12 months of history
- 1 seat
When the team grows, Growth adds ads, reviews, Slack alerts, 50 tracked keywords and 5 seats for $249 per month. Everything is on the pricing page. There is no free plan; the demo lets you snapshot one competitor page first.
When to move beyond a simple tracker
Signs you have outgrown Starter: more than five rivals matter, a colleague also needs the digest, or you want to know which ads competitors run and what their customers write in reviews. At that point the questions move from "what changed" to "what does it mean for positioning", which is the ground covered by competitive intelligence tools. If you only care about page changes on any site, not just competitors, read about website change monitoring.
Competitor tracker FAQ
How long does setup take?
About ten minutes for five competitors. You type each domain, check the pages Competitors found, and remove any you do not need.
Can I track a competitor that is not a software company?
Yes. Any business with a public website works: agencies, ecommerce stores, local service companies. Competitors tracks public pages, whatever the business sells.
Will I get an email every day?
No. You get one digest on Monday and instant email alerts only for the change types you choose, such as price changes. Quiet weeks produce a short email.
What if a competitor redesigns their whole site?
You see one grouped change for that competitor with the new pages and headlines, not hundreds of separate alerts. The old version stays in history.
Can I swap a competitor for another one?
Yes. Remove one and add another at any time; the plan counts how many competitors you track at once.
