Competitor analysis software built on a full change history
A competitor analysis is only as good as the data under it. Competitors keeps a dated record of everything your rivals change, so your analysis starts from facts, not from what someone remembers seeing last quarter.

Why most competitor analysis goes stale
The usual competitor analysis is a deck built once a year: a grid of features, a row of prices, a few screenshots. It is accurate on the day it is presented and wrong a few weeks later, because competitors change prices, rename plans, rewrite pages and launch campaigns all the time.
Competitors takes the opposite approach. It watches each rival continuously and stores every change with its date, so the analysis is always a query on current data. You still decide what the changes mean. You just stop spending time collecting them.
A complete timeline for every competitor
Every snapshot is kept, and every change sits on a per-competitor timeline you can filter by signal and date.
- Prices and plans: every increase, cut, new plan and removed plan, with percentages
- Website: every rewritten headline, new page and removed feature, with before and after side by side
- Ads: first seen and last seen dates of each ad on Growth and above
- Reviews: rating on each site over time on Growth and above
- Rankings: positions for your tracked keywords on Growth and above
History length depends on the plan: 12 months on Starter, 24 months on Growth and unlimited on Scale and Enterprise. With a long history you can answer questions that a single snapshot never can: how often does this rival change prices, does it discount every December, which messages did it test before settling on the current one.
What a timeline query shows
Filter: rival-one.example, prices and website, last 12 months.

| Date | Signal | Change | Before | After |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jan 14 | Price | Pro plan price increased | $39 | $49 |
| Mar 02 | Website | Homepage headline changed | "Invoicing made simple" | "The easy way to invoice" |
| Jun 20 | Price | New plan added | none | Business at $99 |
| Sep 08 | Price | Pro plan price increased | $49 | $59 |
| Sep 09 | Website | New page | none | /migrate |
Two price increases in eight months, a new top plan, and a migration page one day after the last increase. That is a pattern, and you see it without building a spreadsheet.
Export, API and competitor cards
Analysis often ends up somewhere else: a board deck, a pricing review, a BI dashboard. On Scale, all of it leaves Competitors in a clean form.
- CSV export of any filtered timeline, one row per change with date, competitor, signal, type, before and after
- API access to competitors, changes and snapshots, for your own dashboards and warehouses
- Webhooks that post each new change to your systems as it is classified
- Competitor cards: a one-page summary per rival with current plans and prices, positioning, recent changes, ads and review themes, updated from tracked changes
Competitor cards are what your sales team reads before a call. More on that on the competitor battlecard software page.
From a domain to a working analysis
Add a competitor by its domain. Competitors finds its pricing page, product pages, blog, changelog and careers page, and you choose which to keep. From the first check, you have a baseline. From the second, you have changes. Read the full walkthrough on how to monitor competitors.
If price is your main focus, see competitive price intelligence. For page level detail, see the competitor website analysis tool.
Plans for competitor analysis
Competitor analysis software questions
Can I import my existing competitor research?
You can add every competitor you already track by domain in one step. Notes and past documents stay where they are, and Competitors starts the change history from the first check.
What format does the CSV export use?
One row per change, with date, competitor, signal, change type, before value, after value and a link to the snapshot.
Do competitor cards replace my own battlecards?
They cover the factual part that goes stale fastest: plans, prices, recent changes, ads and review themes. You add your own talk tracks and positioning on top.
Is history kept if I downgrade?
Your history stays within the limit of the new plan. Changes older than that limit are no longer shown.
Can I analyze my own company too?
Yes. Add your own domain and it appears in the same timeline and cards as your rivals.
